HOUSE OF ORIGIN ARCHITECTS AND INTEREX PTY LTD -RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURAL JOINERY PARTNERSHIP
A collaboration of architectural and joinery talents is showcased in the excellent renovation and refurbishment project of a Californian bungalow designed by House of Origin Architects with the joinery work completed by Interex Pty Ltd using MAXI Plywood’s specified MAXI Film 24mm in elegant White.
The tired cabinetry robes in the home were replaced with new contemporary styled installations
- A guest bedroom robe/storage unit
- A home office desk with innovative shelving solutions - featuring a central cavity for a TV mounted on an extendable arm; housed vertically, it extends on a wall-mount and rotates 90º, which once beyond the line of the retractable doors allows for a large screen in a small space
- Overhead cupboards
- 2 master bedroom robes - with sliding doors and purpose built shelving to allow for storage of smaller items plus generous hanging space
House of Origin knew the clients sought something with a little more flair than standard white finishes so the 24mm White MAXI Film was purposefully integrated into the designs to allow the exposed Birch edges to effectively highlight the creative sophisticated joinery installations.
For the external designs of the project the original rear of the bungalow was removed and replaced with a vaulted, free-flowing Kitchen/Living/Dining space which opens onto a side garden and external courtyard incorporating a privacyscreen and outdoor BBQ bar - thus highlighting the unique feature of all of House of Origin's architectural designs where the timbers from the original house are successfully repurposed into the new build.
